Reliance Capital to "fully co-operate" with RBI; stock at 5% lower circuit

  The Company has no outstanding loans from banks and approximately 95 per cent of its debt is in the form of debentures, it said Shares of  Reliance Capital  were locked at the 5 per cent lower circuit, at Rs 18.10 apiece, on the BSE on Tuesday after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday superseded the board of industrialist Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Capital, a non-banking financial company (NBFC), owing to defaults and governance issues. “In view of the defaults by RCL (Reliance Capital Ltd) in meeting the various payment obligations to its creditors and serious governance concerns which the board has not been able to address effectively”, the central bank superseded the board. Govt to give fresh insurance cover to ‘Covid warriors’, in talks with firm

  Health ministry says a new dispensation will be provided to cover the “corona warriors”. The Union Health Ministry on Monday announced that all claims of “COVID warriors” under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package will be settled till April 24 after which a fresh insurance policy for them will become effective. In a tweet, the ministry said that a new dispensation will be provided to cover the “corona warriors”. For this, the ministry is in talks with the New India Assurance, it said. “Two hundred and eight seven claims have been paid by the insurance company so far. The scheme has played a crucial psychological role in boosting the morale of the health workers fighting COVID-19,” the ministry said in a statement. “ The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package  (PMGKP) insurance policy claims of COVID warriors will continue to be settled till 24th April, 2021, thereafter a fresh insurance policy for COVID warriors will become effective,” it said.
